Nga mihi o te tau hou
(Greetings for the new year)
Wow, it is a new year and a new decade, and it has started off with a roar!
The last few months have been super busy with a marae visit, Christmas programming, new year celebrations, and the busyness continues in the coming weeks with Festival One, Waitangi Day commemorations, the Rend Collective tour and the Morning Wake Up road trip all happening in February.
The opportunities that your Christian media ministry has in 2020 to share the love of Christ to all people in Aotearoa, New Zealand, is super exciting. There are more new New Zealand programmes planned for 2020, plus revamped websites and mobile apps to make it easier for you to find fantastic programmes and interviews.
Later this year we as a nation will be asked to elect the Government for the next three years. We all will also be asked to vote on some very important referendum issues which will shape our society in this new decade and beyond. Your Christian media ministry will have programming that will equip people to make an informed and confident decision on who to vote for, and what their response to the referenda questions will be.
Thank you for being a very important part of this Christian media mission in New Zealand; it is because of your continued support through prayer and financial giving that Rhema Media is able to share Christ with hundreds of thousands of people every week.
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven." - Matthew 5: 14-16
I often picture Rhema Media as a lighthouse high on a hill reflecting the light of God’s love to the towns below. Together, you and I are co-workers in keeping that lighthouse shining bright, 24 hours and day, 365 days a year. I look forward to continuing to work together with you in this new year and new decade.
Ma te Atua Koutou e Manaaki e Tiaki i nga wa Katoa
(May God bless and watch over you)
