What a privilege it is to partner with you in lifting high the name of Jesus in this beautiful land of Aotearoa, New Zealand. Every minute of every day, of every week, your Christian media ministry to the people of New Zealand is impacting the lives of literally hundreds of thousands of people in the name of Jesus Christ. Allowing God to move in their circumstances and drawing them closer to him, like he did for Judith, a Life FM listener:
"Through Life FM I was saved from wanting to commit suicide a few times. I got into the car each time I had a bad day but as soon as I put on the radio I felt Jesus' presence telling me that I was worth it and that he will take the pain away. And then all the fear, sadness and doubt go away."
Thank you for being part of Judith’s story. Judith is just one person among many who you are making a significant difference to through your support of your Christian media ministry.
As our society tends to have less time for God or less understanding of his gift of free will to us (while at the same time he desires for each of us to have a personal relationship with him) - Rhema, Life FM, Star, Shine TV and The Word For Today continue to be a 'lighthouse on the hill'.
That 'lighthouse on the hill' must burn brightly all year round but, as with Christmas, Easter is a significant time when we are reminded of God’s love for each of us and how he has made a way for us all to have a personal relationship with him.
'And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.' John 12:32 (NLT)
Looking forward to Easter and the lead up to it you will be able to see and hear some great programming that focuses on the Good News of the Easter story – and it is free for anyone and everyone to access.
But, even after being on air for over 21 years and reaching much of the nation, Life FM still does not fully cover our capital city. As you will probably know, in late 2018 an opportunity was identified to be able to modify Life FM’s existing Porirua frequency so it could cover nearly all of Wellington. This change would mean that an extra 330,000 people would be able to tune in.
In October 2018 this opportunity was brought to you and there was an incredible response to raise the funds necessary to make this change. Since then work has been underway with quite a few organisations to get the licence changed and the physical infrastructure build.
Over recent weeks there have been several issues arise that have delayed the completion of this project and possibly stop it altogether. At this time, we are reminded of the importance of the message of Love, Hope and Grace and the great need for this message to be heard by all, and specifically, by the younger generation.
'For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.' Ephesians 6:12 (NIV)
As you read this letter, please stop and pray, give thanks to God that he has already gone before us and pray that he would move the hearts of the people who need to approve the plans, and that Life FM will be able to launch in Wellington in the coming weeks!
To God be the Glory!
