You are a tremendous encouragement. Thank you so much for bringing hope, grace, faith and love into so many people’s lives across New Zealand through Christian media.
You are making such a difference in the mission to connect Kiwis to Christ through media. Through your support you are making it possible for people to see or hear life-changing messages that enable them to get to know and grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Just like Kathy, a Life FM listener:
‘I’ve been listening to Life FM for the past few months and I’ve never felt more close to God. The songs you play and the Word For You Today bring meaning to my life, especially as I’ve been through such a tough time in the past few years. I’ve struggled with paranoia, anxiety and depression, and everything’s starting to fall in place again because of the hope I have found through Life FM. I now feel a new sense of direction in life as well as a greater sense of hope, love and faith in God. Since I’ve found you guys, I’ve started reading the Bible, thanking God more every day for the life he’s given me, and I’ve even decided to get baptised.’
A relationship with God is at the very heart of what you make possible. God reaches people through Shine, Rhema, Life FM, Star, The Word For Today and Word For You Today to bring them closer to him and help them take the next right step in their journey of faith. God is good!
God first planted the seed of this media ministry into Richard Berry’s heart in 1961; that’s 56 years ago. It then took 17 years battling Government and private sector resistance until the first permanent Christian radio station in New Zealand was turned on in Christchurch in late 1978. Since then God has grown and sustained it, through many wonderful supporters like you, to become three nationwide Christian radio networks, a TV channel that is available in every home and two daily devotionals read by over 180,000 people. They are all changing lives for good, every day.
You are probably aware that it was recently the end of the financial year. Like the end of the calendar year, this is a time for organisations to take stock and it is both humbling and encouraging for us to realise that God has again provided just enough financial support to cover the work of connecting Kiwis to Christ through media for the year. No more than was needed and no less than was required.
You play an important part in this result, along with our Prayer Warriors, Church Representatives and numerous volunteers. All are equal participants in this mission.
‘…once your commitment is clear, you do what you can, not what you can’t. The heart regulates the hands. This isn’t so others can take it easy while you sweat it out. No, you’re shoulder to shoulder with them all the way, your surplus matching their deficit, their surplus matching your deficit…’ 2 Corinthians 8 (The Message)
As a valued partner in this mission we are interested to hear from you as to what you think the key issues are in the lead up to the general election.
This is an important time for us as a nation and it is important that we each have as much information as possible to be able to make an informed and prayerful decision. In the lead up to the election, Rhema Media aims to facilitate informed social comment, provide probing interviews and the opportunity to make sure the questions that are of real interest to our communities are asked. (Rhema Media does not have a political agenda and we do not support or promote any political party over another)
Thank you again for your faithful support, this is your Christian media mission and it would not be impacting lives like Kathy without you.
